In the spring of 2020, our founder Jesse Peralta experienced a profound moment that can only be described as a message from God. While asleep one night, he suddenly and inexplicably sat upright, as if awakened by an unseen force. In that instant, he transitioned from deep sleep to full awareness.

At that moment, he heard a clear and load voice in his mind, as if someone was speaking to him directly say: "Internet of Things, IOTA." These words have remained etched in his mind ever since.
